Fishing for a perimeter? We sell Octopus.

January 1, 2008

Haag-Streit’s Octopus has been the innovator in perimetry since 1976. The Octopus 300 series, with its unique direct projection optics, is simple and fast – the perfect perimeter for the busy office. For full-field exams, clinical studies and research, the Octopus 900 fills the requirements.

Attractively priced, the Haag-Streit 300 series features 100% fixation control, continuous measurement of pupil size, and fast, TOP examination strategies. These instruments can be optionally equipped to include Blue/Yellow Perimetry, Flicker Perimetry, Automatic Eye Tracking, and trend analysis via the PC.

The Octopus 900 series represents the most complete 90% full field projection perimeter available today. It incorporates standard white-on-white and blue-on-yellow static perimetry and, amazingly, true Goldmann kinetic perimetry.

All Octopus perimeters have the ability to interact with the computer via the new Haag-Streit EyeSuite software. EyeSuite is the solution for storing, analyzing and printing all your examination data. EyeSuite will connect with your EMR system.
Octopus continues to pave the way into the future for perimetry and glaucoma management.

Beware of Generic Bulbs

January 1, 2008

Your ophthalmic instruments are completely engineered from the source of illumination to the instrument’s usage. Lamp manufacture is a very critical part of this system.

We are sure that you can save a few dollars by purchasing generic bulbs, but keep in mind that the performance of your instruments will suffer if the bulbs are not absolutely correct. We have been on service calls to check out slit lamps where only 60% of the recommended light was reaching the eye. The reason: an incorrect bulb.

We only sell bulbs that are produced or recommended by the instrument manufacturers. Do yourself and your instruments a favor – use only genuine bulbs.
